Chapter 101 Disciple (Part 2)

Black Stone Kingdom

Capital City

"Brother, where are we going? And why did you give teacher so many coins? Those coins are worth money, you know." Michael\'s high pitched whines were all that Jake could hear.

"Trust me. Paying her was the better alternative. Now that we paid her, she can\'t exactly tell mom where you are and that you are not in class." Jake explained.

"But where is this? I don\'t like this place. It feels so weird to me." Michael said. He was two heads shorter than Jake, and everyone could see that a child was walking the Main streets of the capital.

It was rare to see children walking around. They were usually in a few schools that were set up all over the kingdoms, and parents paid a few coins to keep the kids there.

Michael was definitely out of place in this giant city.

They halted in front of the guild headquarters of the Roman Empire.

The guards there looked at Jake, and recognized him.

"The CEO will see you. He said that he is ready to meet you." The guard on the left nodded.

"Why the charade." Jake sighed and took Michael in, holding his hands. As he walked in, this time, he didn\'t make any outrageous statements. The last time he said anything, it hit him right back.

And the hall was as busy as it could get, so no one cared about the two people who had just arrived at their guild headquarters.

"Where is this place, brother? There are so many people." Michael\'s fearful face turned into that of sparkling curiosity.

In the situation that the world landed itself in, going outside was almost impossible in the danger districts. So when Jake and Michael grew up, they couldn\'t go to the malls and shopping centers that so many movies showed.

And in the virtual world, Michael was once again, forced into some school, with maybe forty or fifty students his age.

This was the first time that he laid his eyes on such a big gathering of people under a single roof. And it truly blew him away.

"You could actually spend your free time here. But all of that is for later. Right now, you have to blow him away." Jake said.

"I get it. Be respectful, always do what he tells me to do. I don\'t know why you are doing this. You wanted me to escape school, and you are literally sending me to another one." Michael sighed.

"Trust me on this. You will only appreciate me in the future for doing this." Jake smiled.

Both of them stopped as they reached the room where Nolan first met Jake the day before.

Jake knocked on the door, the present sound of wood meeting knuckle echoing inside. Jake could hear heavy breathing inside.

"Enter."

Jake opened the door before giving one final glance toward Michael.

"Behave."

The door opened, and the familiar room inside revealed itself. Jake and Michael walked in, and the door closed behind them.

Jake looked at the person sitting on the chair this time. It wasn\'t Nolan. It was a middle aged man, bordering on the term old, looking at the two who just entered with interest.

"Where is the chairman?" Jake asked.

"You must be the guy-"

Jake stopped him before he said anything.

"You must be Mr. Grant, the CEO of Horace. I was supposed to meet you and instead, I met the chairman last time." Jake went closer to John Grant, and shook his hands, before leaning closer.

"One word about who I am and what I do, and I will make sure that you will have it." Jake gave John the death stare.

He would rather make an enemy out of the CEO of Horace before telling any of his family members what he did in the game. The thing he did were of such a big scale that it was best if his family was nowhere near it.

As for Michael, Jake brought him here because this was a once in a life time opportunity for Michael.

Sure, Jake could find a good Epic Class for him, but Michael wasn\'t strong enough to pass the trials that it would need.

Instead, entering the tutelage of one of the most brilliant geniuses in the world right now, and gunning to succeed the Roman Empire, now that was something that Jake couldn\'t let go of, even though he didn\'t want to do it himself.

"Ah!" John leaned back and nodded.

"Forgive me then. It was my mistake." He said.

"Where is the chairman? Is he in?" Jake asked

"He is inside the… He isn\'t available right now." John said.

p "Fine." Jake didn\'t even bat an eye before entering his chats.

[Where are you? I brought you your disciple.] he sent a chat.

Then, he waited, looking at what Michael was doing.

It was the first time that Michael had been in a private office this big. And being the child that he was, he was up and running, looking at every small decoration of the place.

But it didn\'t take long for Jake to get a reply back.

[I will be with you in a few minutes. Please, enter the secret hall.]

Jake smiled and held his hand out.

"We have to go Michael. We do not want to keep the good sir waiting do we?" He said.

"Come on brother! Look at all these books!" Michael looked at the two bookshelves opposite the ones behind the CEO\'s desk.

Looking at all the selections, he was just mindblown.

"Come on. I will give you a few later. They are dirt cheap in the virtual world. Now then, we have to get going. Mr. Grant, can you please knock on the bookshelves there? Apparently, the chairman will meet us there." Jake gestured at John.

Repeat after me, Panda sucks. Now then, those who know, will know. As for you, the ones behind panda, shame on you.
